Jackson’s Art Supplies, a leading online retailer to artists and crafters, are used to being creative. No wonder then they were all ears when 4K systems offered to help them reduce their MHE fleet costs.
A reach truck and ageing counterbalance truck at their Gloucester warehouse, where over 50,000 art materials are stocked, have been replaced by one special Doosan B20T electric counterbalance, fitted with an unusual 7m lifting triple mast.
Fitting a full road lighting kit also allows them to travel to their external warehouse 150m away, removing another truck stationed here as well.
“We previously supplied the racking and other equipment so we know the application well. The result is not only cost-effective,” says 4K’s David Scammell, “it simplifies the operation and reduces maintenance requirements. As the business continues to grow, we’re on hand to support them but in the meantime they are not overburdened with under utilised equipment.”
